Bobby is Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Policy Institute. Prior to joining King’s in 2018, Bobby was Managing Director of Public Affairs for Ipsos MORI, which is a team of around 250 researchers in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Brussels, and Global Director of the Ipsos Social Research Institute, across around 30 countries. He has worked across most public policy areas in his career of 25 years in policy research and evaluation, and has been seconded to the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit and the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE) at the LSE. In Generations: Does When You’re Born Shape Who You Are?, Bobby Duffy argues we need to drop the stereotypes and focus on more rigorous generational analysis – one of our most powerful tools for understanding how individuals and societies change, and something which is even more important in light of the Covid-19 crisis, a truly generation-shaping event.
