Austria is a country very close to my heart, so it has saddened me greatly to see what has become of such a wonderfully free place. It was my pleasure in this episode to get the time to speak to Austrian Bitcoin and privacy advocate Der Gigi – who has sadly left the country due to fear over covid restrictions. In this episode we dived into how Austria became one of the strictest countries in the world regarding covid laws, the plans for vaccine passports and digital ID’s, why they are dangerous, and how Bitcoin can help us break out of our current system!
Der Gigi a bitcoiner and software engineer, writing words and code for Bitcoin. His first book, 21 Lessons, is one of the most recommended books among bitcoiners. He launched various projects in the bitcoin space and is currently working on his second book, 21 Ways.
